7 FALL 2014 cash management and international and business develop- ment. She was the first woman at the Bank to be named Vice President. In 2007 Rourke accepted a new challenge and a promotion that brought her to Arizona. “Bankers Trust identified an opportunity to grow into the Phoenix market and I was asked to lead the endeavor as Mar- ket President. It was tough to leave my home state, but like so many who move here I smile each time I am on the phone with my Iowa colleagues in February.” Under Rourke’s leadership, the Bankers Trust Phoenix office has grown from zero assets to $278 million in assets despite the economic headwinds of the great recession. She may have left the farm, but Rourke still looks forward to Thanksgiving each year. “It’s a day to give thanks for the harvest, spend time with family and play football outside. I appreciate the opportunity to slow down, enjoy good food and celebrate the blessings of the year.” Rourke continues to love the industry that helped her build a career. When she is not at work, Rourke enjoys playing golf with her husband, Daniel and spending time with her son and daughter-in-law and her 3 grandchildren. w
