in and be taken seriously was challenging. I overcame it by showing that I was knowledgeable, often taking on tasks that no one else wanted and by letting them get to know me as a person. I thought of it as pulling people toward me instead of pushing myself at them. What would be a typical weekend for you and your family? My husband John and I have been married 25 years and we have two adult sons. Our sons have been attending col- lege, so we treasure the family visits when we are all together. We can be a bit boisterous sometimes but we have a lot of fun. We celebrate our culture and invite our friends and neighbors to join us.
