The firm has practiced in the bank and finance area since its inception in 1933. On January 28 & 29, 2019, AzBA member bankers traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with new Mem- bers of Congress from Arizona within the first four to six weeks of them being sworn in. The purpose of the fly-in is to provide an opportunity in Washington, DC for bankers and state association representatives to introduce themselves to new Mem- bers of Congress and their staffs. The ABA has found that these meetings have the long-term, positive ben- efit of these Members of Congress maintaining good relationships with the bankers and being receptive to hearing arguments for the bankers’ agenda through- out their entire careers in Congress. The delegation met with Arizona’s Senior Senator Kirsten Sinema, Arizona’s Junior Senator Marth McSally, Rep. Lesko, and Rep.
